China Mobile, the country's largest mobile telecom operator, and Kunming’s coach stations have jointly launched simpler procedures to purchase bus tickets through mobile phones, starting from January 1, 2012.

Passengers who are China Mobile subscribers can call number 12580 to purchase bus tickets from 5 coach stations of Kunming.

Passengers will receive the SMS as passwords for exchanging paper tickets. The daily purchase limit has been set at 5000 yuan per person or 5 tickets. The maximum monthly limit is 10,000 yuan. (Editor: Ryan Li)
