Eye-book computer, as China’s first wearable computer, has been developed in Yunnan. It is shaped like eyeglasses wearing on the head for use, and supported main functions of computers including video playback and web browsing.
Eye-book positioned at the high end of the market. It is equipped with two micro displays (0.5 inch AMOLED) that has SVGA (800×600) resolution, which is equivalent to a 55-inch screen visual effect. Meanwhile, it supports the playback of true-3D content.
OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) refers to the phenomenon when several organic thin films are placed between an anode and a cathode, under a positive bias voltage, a bright light is emitted via a process of carriers´ injection, transfer and recombination. OLED technology has a lot of advantages: simple structure, ultra thin panel, light weight, high resistance to shock, fast response time, low power consumption, wide viewing angle, high contrast ratio, operational under low temperature, flexible display, etc. OLED is commonly recognized as the next generation of display after LCD.
