lingering drought in Yunnan

According to statistics, since 2011, 1.337 billion yuan has been invested for fighting drought in Yunnan, and the construction of 121 impounding projects has started. The drought has still left 438.4 thousand people and 281.9 thousand livestock short of drinking water by February 13. So far, 2.4037 million people have got drinking water. Farmland of 2.49 mu has been irrigated. A total of 1.54 million cisterns have been filled with water.
