Thai Tourist Visa

Foreigners who would like to come to Thailand for tourism purposes for a longer period of time than 30 days may visit the Thai embassy or consulate in his home country to apply for a tourist visa. This visa is valid for 60 days.

The requirements are as follows:

Completed Visa Application Form
Return flight ticket
Proof of financial capacity to support oneself while in Thailand such as bank statements, cash, travel checks
Visa Fee is 1000 (Free at the moment until March 2011
Tourist Visa Application Process

Tourist Visa applications can be done by mail/post or in person. Either way, expect the visa processing to be concluded in two business days although some Thai consulates or embassies can do it in a day.

A double entry visa is also provided so decide before hand if you would need this type so you can indicate in your visa application. A double entry visa saves you the hassle of applying a re-entry permit when you leave Thailand. It also provides a longer period of stay which is 120 days.

Tourist Visa Extension

Extension is provided for a normal tourist visa for a period of 30 days. Hence, a single entry tourist visa with extension allows the foreigner a 90-day stay in Thailand in total. A double entry tourist visa, on the other hand, can provide the holder a total of 180-day stay. Extensions are done at the Immigration Office. Anticipate extension fee at the rate of THB 1900.

I am interested to visit Thailand at Pataya city ,forgive for any misspell .I am property manager as pert time and I love to go any where and stay,I have good bank statement as well, What about the visa authorizing office Location.Thanks in advance.

i think you should go to local Administration division of exit and entry for information.
